Family Vacation Series: 2011 Pageants

When planning your summer vacation, you might want to look into checking out a pageant! They are free and open to anybody, regardless of religion. If you do not see your favorite pageant listed below, it's because it is not in production this year. Visit the pageant website for information on when it will be playing. (My favorite is the Castle Valley Pageant, and it looks like it only plays on even numbered years.)

Below is a list of pageants happening in 2011:

Mesa Easter Pageant
2011 Dates:
April 13–14, 19–23 (presented in English).
April 15, 16 (presented in Spanish)
The pageant begins at 8:00 p.m. and lasts for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Manti - The Mormon Miracle Pageant
Share an evening under the stars with us and enjoy the beauty of the hills and the magnificence of the Manti Utah Temple while you watch this historical drama. Witness the intertwined stories of the Restoration of the gospel, the Book of Mormon, and the journey of faithful pioneers to the Sanpete Valley.

June 16-18, 21-25

Nauvoo Pageant
Celebrate the restored gospel, the prophetic mission of Joseph Smith, and the legacy of early Latter-day Saints in Nauvoo. Enjoy historical vignettes in Old Nauvoo throughout the day and an 1840s country fair pre-show at the pageant site before the pageant begins each night.

July 5-30

Hill Cumorah Pageant
Experience the excitement, drama, and pageantry of America's largest and most spectacular outdoor theatrical event, which focuses on the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Witness the trials of Lehi’s family and his descendants, the climactic visit of Jesus Christ to the Americas, and Joseph Smith receiving the plates.

Clarkston Pageant: Martin Harris, The Man Who Knew
A historical, musical play about the life of Martin Harris, one of the Three Witnesses of the origin and authenticity of the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, and the epic struggle to publish it.

July 29-30, August 2-6, 9-13
