FREE Shred Event

View complete details on the Rocky Mountain Document Destruction website.

Rocky Mountain Document Destruction (RMDD) will be offering free shredding and computer hard drive destruction to Salt Lake County on Saturday June 30, 2012 from 8 am to 2 pm at the Public Works Facility in Midvale, 7125 South 600 West at their Waste Collection Event.

Local residents of the community can watch as their sensitive documents are destroyed and computer hard drives will accepted as well; hard drives must be removed from your computer in order for them to be destroyed.  All material destroyed by RMDD will be 100% recycled.

RMDD is owned and operated by Rocky Mountain Recycling, the largest paper recycler in the intermountain west, and winner of “Best of State” for three consecutive years 2010-2012.  RMDD’s aim is to educate local businesses and residents on the importance of the proper disposal of vital information in an effort to decrease the ever-growing horror of identity theft.

Additional Items that the county will be collecting at the event are green waste, bulk waste, recyclables, glass, and electronic waste. Green waste will be chipped and composted; recyclables will be sorted, processed and returned to market; electronic waste will be disassembled and recycled; glass will be processed and recycled; bulk waste will be transported to the landfill.
